Printing
Digital printing reproduces digital images on a physical surface, such as cardboard, photographic paper, paper, etc.
Digital printing is a lot different to offset printing:
- the ink or toner does not absorb into the paper, unlike conventional Ink, it forms a layer on the surface
- it requires less waste in terms of chemicals used and paper wasted in set up
- it is rapid prototyping, or small print runs which means that it is more accessible, to a wider range of designers
